National, Local Speakers To Address The Growing Health Threat To Youth...

Join the conversation as we discuss how flavored tobacco products and the tobacco industry targets Hamilton County youth.

A collaborative community conversation hosted by the Breathe Easy - Tobacco Free Hamilton County Alliance and a Healthy Hamilton County Systems of Care. The event will occur during the regular HHCSOC monthly meeting. Please join us to learn more about youth vaping and collect resources to provide support.

Fishers, Ind. - Tuesday, October 5, a number of concerned medical professionals and community members will gather to present the facts related to the flavor enhancement techniques vaping product manufacturers are utilizing to entice youth to purchase their products.

During the community conversation, What’s all the Buzz About?, panelists, including Dorian Fuhrman, co-founder of Parents Against Vaping e-cigarettes (PAVe), a national grassroots education and advocacy organization will discuss the growing dangers associated with flavored tobacco products specifically targeting youth and how best to end the sale of such products.

Other panelists will include Jim Ginder, health educator for the Hamilton County Health Department, Aruna Manisekaran, health educator for the Fishers Health Department, Amy Weber, R.N. St. Vincent Health, and a local parent and youth advocates. Angela Brauer, news anchor and investigative reporter, will serve as the conversations’ moderator.
