Faithnet Bridges of Hope

The Faithnet Bridges of Hope presentation educates faith communities about mental illness so that they can create stronger safety nets and welcoming communities for people affected by mental illness. The program helps to define mental illness impact on individuals, families and communities and gives guidance for  the faith community's role in helping people and families touched by serious mental illness. 

This program was created for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and explains the offerings and support this group can offer to individuals, families and communities,  Ideas for being a stigma-free faith community are presented. NAMI of Fort Wayne has support groups and education courses available for added support. NAMI supports individual and family members to seek treatment based on their own choice of providers and preferences and does not recommend any one mental health provider.
