How to Practice Effective Boundaries

Boundaries show up in our lives every day. We experience boundaries at work, at home with our families, and in our friendships. Now, more than ever, due to the pandemic, we are asked to both know and assert our boundaries in the world. But how do we do that? What do we even mean by effective boundaries and what exactly are they?  How do our boundaries change and what gets in the way of understanding our boundaries and asserting them?

In this workshop, behavioral tools such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Non-Violent Communication will be taught to situate boundaries within the context and an awareness of systems of power, privilege, and oppression.   Empathy, compassion, and mindfulness become anchors for setting meaningful boundaries and the framework for how we can assert ourselves more effectively in the world.

Learn the skills of effective boundary setting to support your spiritual, personal, and professional life.
