Understanding stress is the first step to overcoming it. Women, in particular, have unique stressors that impact mental health in the workplace and at home. This presentation on Women and Stress, entitled “Are You OK? Can You Stay That Way for the Long Haul?” covers positive and negative types of stress, manifestations and progressions into anxiety, and short- and long-term strategies for limiting exposure to and even avoiding stress. Individual approaches to personal stress management are highlighted as well as workplace strategies for stress management, such as the implementation of mental health programming and training.
