WEBINAR :: A Return to Safety: How the Chuch Can Help after the Acute Phase of COVID-19

The pandemic that we have been living through has substantially impacted our community's mental and emotional health. As spiritual leaders, helpers, and healers, it is vital to understand how this global trauma has and will continue to affect individuals in your church.

This webinar will provide an overview of:

  1. How the COVID-19 pandemic is activating the stress response in individuals
  2. How these patterns of stress may present themselves as mental/emotional health concerns in your church
  3. How the church can support individuals in returning to safety and connection

Dr. Laura Oyer is a licensed psychologist and works at Park Center, within the Parkview Behavioral Health Institute, providing therapy and supervision. She obtained her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and has been in the mental health field for more than 10 years. She specializes in trauma, eating disorders, and incorporating spirituality in mental health practice.
