In recent years, we have become more aware of the impact that screen time and social media have on all people. Children and teens are more susceptible to the effects of frequent and prolonged cell phone use. It has become more imperative that we all pay more attention to how we use technology so that it serves as a benefit to us, and does not allow for ourselves and young people to be negatively affected by it. An article in The Washington Post highlighted that teens who have less screen time are often happier than those who spend more time using tablets and phones. The full article can be found at: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/inspired-life/wp/2018/01/22/teens-who-spend-less-time-in-front-of-screens-are-happier-up-to-a-point-new-research-shows/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.190c4082a00c.

On Monday night, Warsaw Community Schools will be hosting a screening of "Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age." This movie can help educate parents, teachers, community members and employers better understand how to approach technology and how to best support the youth who have grown up in the digital age.
