PALS orientation

People & Animal Learning Services is offering its monthly volunteer training for individuals interested in participating in PALS therapeutic equine program 10 am Р12:30 p. Nov.16 at this location on Elwren Road. Volunteer responsible include leading horses and/or side-walking for PALS clients during riding sessions. Volunteers have the opportunity to work closely with PALS clients, learn about therapeutic equine programs and help groom, saddle, train, and care for horses and help with barn chores. No horse experience necessary. Submit a volunteer application via the PALS website: palstherapy.org/volunteer

All-Options drop-in volunteer action hours

Have you ever wanted to get involved with All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center, but aren’t sure about making along-term commitment? Would you like to do some hand-on work in a judgment-free, supportive environment? Explore this organization and what they do in the community during their drop-in volunteer time–usually the first Friday of every month, 9:30-11:00 am. They will have projects available for you to jump right in. All ages welcome.

Shalom Center kitchen assistants

The kitchen of Shalom Community Center serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week to individuals experiencing poverty. It takes lots of volunteers to keep the kitchen running. Families are welcome to volunteer together and individually age 14 or older can assist with doughnut and bagel pickup, meal preparation, meal service and cleanup. Scheduling is flexible, so pick your shift today.
